Pop Music as a Corrupting Force

Everywhere we go we see tiny white buds resting perfectly inside ears blocking out all sounds but pop music. Is this music uplifting or degrading?

I believe it is the Devil’s forked tongue. Just consider the lyrics: “Just dance, it’ll be ok”, “Smack ma bitch up” and “Kill that nigga”.

Lady Gaga repeats the word “Judas” 37 times in her blasphemous “I’m in love with Judas”. Even the Queen is a Gaga fan apparently. Gaga has 70% as many Google results for her name as Jesus.

So far I have managed to avoid listening to this satanism and if it should be played near me I would observe Matthew 5:29 “If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”

But how are satanic themes so widespread and prevalent in modern popular music? Simply put, those who create and manage the music are the high priests of Satan: the Illuminati. If you look at any musician who is selling big and trace their record label upwards you will find a division of Illuminati Inc.

Have you ever wondered why there is no crackdown on illegal music downloads now thought to be over 800 tracks per teenager?iv Well it is because the devil does not charge for his sermons as long as it is more effective!

The Satanists know that “It’s not about the money…We don’t need your money…We just wanna make the world dance. Forget about the Price Tag”.

Have you ever wondered why “gangsta’ rappers” are duet ing with young women who admit to “selling their soul to the devil”? It is because there is no longer a divide between most music of different genres and tastes. The musicians are all owned by the same satanic cult and serve the same wretched master. They do as they are told or else (Michael Jackson et al).

NO WONDER THE PROHIBITION IN ISLAM

Allah says in Surah Luqman (interpretation of the meaning):

“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…”
[Luqmaan 31:6]

The scholar of the ummah, Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: this means singing. Mujaahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: this means playing the drum (tabl). (Tafseer al-Tabari, 21/40).

Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This ayah was revealed concerning singing and musical instruments. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 3/451).

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“and befool them gradually those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allah’s disobedience)…” [al-Israa’ 17:64]

It was narrated that Mujaahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “And befool them gradually those whom you can among them with your voice” – his voice [the voice of Iblees/Shaytaan] is singing and falsehood.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Do you then wonder at this recitation (the Qur’an)? And you laugh at it and weep not, wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)”
[al-Najm 53:59-61]

‘Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: it was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas that al-sumood [verbal noun from saamidoon, translated here as “Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)” means “singing”, in the dialect of Himyar; it might be said “Ismidi lanaa” [‘sing for us’ – from the same root as saamidoon/sumood] meaning “ghaniy” [sing]. And he said (may Allah have mercy on him): When they [the kuffaar] heard the Qur’an, they would sing, then this ayah was revealed.

It was reported from Abu Umaamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not sell singing slave women, do not buy them and do not teach them. There is nothing good in this trade, and their price is haraam. Concerning such things as this the ayah was revealed (interpretation of the meaning): ‘And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…’ [Luqmaan 31:6].” (Hasan hadeeth)

The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari ta’leeqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).

This hadeeth indicates in two ways that musical instruments and enjoyment of listening to music are haraam. The first is the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “[they] permit” which clearly indicates that the things mentioned, including musical instruments, are haraam according to sharee’ah, but those people will permit them. The second is the fact that musical instruments are mentioned alongside things which are definitely known to be haraam, i.e., zinaa and alcohol: if they (musical instruments) were not haraam, why would they be mentioned alongside these things?
(Adapted from al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 1/140-141)

Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This hadeeth indicates that ma’aazif are haraam, and ma’aazif means musical instruments according to the scholars of (Arabic) language. This word includes all such instruments. (al-Majmoo’, 11/535).

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: And concerning the same topic similar comments were narrated from Sahl ibn Sa’d al-Saa’idi, ‘Imraan ibn Husayn, ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr, ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Abbaas, Abu Hurayrah, Abu Umaamah al-Baahili, ‘Aa’ishah Umm al-Mu’mineen, ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, Anas ibn Maalik, ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Saabit and al-Ghaazi ibn Rabee’ah. Then he mentioned it in Ighaathat al-Lahfaan, and it indicates that they (musical instruments) are haraam.

It was narrated that Naafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Ibn ‘Umar heard a woodwind instrument, and he put his fingers in his ears and kept away from that path. He said to me, O Naafi’, can you hear anything? I said, No. So he took his fingers away from his ears and said: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he heard something like this, and he did the same thing. (Saheeh Abi Dawood).

Some scholars said that this hadeeth does not prove that musical instruments are haraam, because if that were so, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would have instructed Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to put his fingers in his ears as well, and Ibn ‘Umar would have instructed Naafi’ to do likewise! The response to this is: He was not listening to it, but he could hear it. There is a difference between listening and hearing.

Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Concerning (music) which a person does not intend to listen to, there is no prohibition or blame, according to scholarly consensus. Hence blame or praise is connected to listening, not to hearing. The one who listens to the Quran will be rewarded for it, whereas the one who hears it without intending or wanting to will not be rewarded for that, because actions are judged by intentions. The same applies to musical instruments which are forbidden: if a person hears them without intending to, that does not matter. (al-Majmoo’, 10/78)

The views of the scholars (Imams) of Islam Al-Qaasim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Singing is part of falsehood. Al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: if there is music involved in a dinner invitation (waleemah), do not accept the invitation (al-Jaami by al-Qayrawaani, p. 262-263).

Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The view of the four Imams is that all kinds of musical instruments are haraam. It was reported in Saheeh al-Bukhaari and elsewhere that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that there would be among his ummah those who would allow zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments, and he said that they would be transformed into monkeys and pigs… None of the followers of the imams mentioned any dispute concerning the matter of music. (al-Majmoo’, 11/576).

Al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The four madhhabs are agreed that all musical instruments are haraam. (al-Saheehah, 1/145).

And Allah knows best. May Allah bless and grant peace to His Messenger who made clear the path of the believers, and to his companions and those who follow them in truth until the Day of Judgement.

Q&A: Is this hadith authentic: "Whoever performs a deed without knowledge he corrupts more than he rectifies.”

Question:

Is this hadith authentic: “Whoever performs a deed without knowledge he corrupts more than he rectifies.”?

Answer:

This is not found in books of hadith. The following is the answer from Fatwa Center of Islamweb:

Is this a hadith: “Whoever performs a deed without knowledge he corrupts more than he rectifies.”?

Answer:

All praise to Allah. Peace and blessings upon the messenger of Allah, his family and companions.

As for what follows:

The expression alluded to, we do not know it as a hadith from the prophet (saw) because we do not find any trace of it in the books of Sunnah, Hadith and its collections, so it is not a hadith, but a statement narrated from the Rightly Guided Caliph Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (rh). At-Tabari related in his Tarikh from Abd ar-Rahman bin Mahdi from Sufyan said: Umar bin Abd al-Aziz said: “Whoever performs a deed without knowledge, he corrupts more then he rectifies. Whoever does not consider his words as part of his actions, then his sins will be many...” Related by Ibn Sa’ad in at-Tabaqat from Sufyan from a man who is from the people of Mekah from Umar bin Abd al-Aziz who said: .... And Allah knows best.

This hadith is also similar to the other wording which the scholars of hadith (as-Sakhawi and others) say is not a hadith, but probably a statement of one of the companions, Dhirar bin al-Azwar. The wording quoted in books of weak and false hadiths:

Meaning: "Whoever worships Allah upon ignorance, he corrupts more than what he rectifies."

Both statements are not hadiths of the prophet, however, they have a sound meaning.

SIRI MEMAHAMI DAN TADABBUR AL-QURAN - Surah al-Fatihah (9)

Perbincangan kita kali ini tentang surah al-Fatihah ayat:

KepadaMu sahaja kami sembah, dan kepadaMu sahaja kami minta pertolongan.”

[al-Fatihah : 5]

[al-A’raf: 59]

Ia berkata: "Hai kaumku, sembahlah Allah, sekali-kali tiada objek sembahan bagimu selain dari-Nya.” [al-A’raf: 65]

Ia berkata: "Hai kaumku, sembahlah Allah, sekali-kali tiada objek sembahan bagimu selain-Nya.” [al-A’raf :73]
